1/2 lb. spaghetti pasta
1/2 cup frozen peas
3 oz uni butter
1/2 cup arugula (optional)
2 strips cooked bacon, diced, or 1/4 cup cubed ham
1/8 cup shaved parmsesian cheese
Cook pasta and drain, reserving 1/4 cup cooking liquid.
Add peas, uni butter and bacon to the same pot you cooked the pasta in, and use medium to low heat. Fold in the pasta when butter is melted, and salt and pepper to taste. Add parmesian and arugula. Use reserved cooking liquid to achieve the sauce consistency you desire. I like it thick, so the peas and bacon stick to the pasta. A little red pepper flake goes well with this dish. This is an easy, quick, 15 minute gourmet dinner.
